The expert committee looked into all the 578 objections of the public on the original alignment of ORR second phase. The objections had come from all the sectors of ORR — east, west, south and north.
The maximum objections were from Ghatkesar, Tukkuguda, Turkayamjal, Hayathnagar, Shamirpet etc. The final alignment was announced after the changes and the new alignment would pass through the following villages —
Southern sector: Deviating from the old alignment before the Mankal village, the new alignment passes through Srinagar, Immamguda, Kongarkhurd, Raviryal, Kongarakalan, Adibhatla, Bongulur, Turkayamjal. The junctions are fixed between Srinagar and Immamguda on the Srisailam Road and at Bongulur on the Sagar Highway.
Eastern sector: From Bongulur, the new alignment passes through the villages of Mangalampally, Koheda, Amberpet Kalan, Pasamamla, Taramatipeta, Gorelli, Bacharam, Edulabad, Korremula, Ghatkesar, Yemnapet, Mazherguda, Padmashahiguda, Rampally, Rampally Dayara, Keesara, Cheriyal and Yadgarpalli East. Junctions will be between Ghatkesar and Annojiguda on the Warangal 202 NG and at Keesara on Keesara State Highway.
Northern sector: The new alignment deviates from the earlier alignments at Shamirpet and passes through Tumkunta, Puduru, Munirabad, Kandlakoya. The junctions are fixed at Tumkunta on Karimnagar SH and at Kandlakoya on the Nagpur NH-7.
Western sector: The new alignment is deviating from Patighanpur and passes through Edulanagulapally, Velimala, Kollur, Janwada, Vattinagulapally, Poppalguda and Narsingi. The alignment joins the ORR phase I at Narsingi where a `T' junction is planned.
22 townships likely
The HUDA proposes to develop as many as 22 townships along the Outer Ring Road route to facilitate all-round expansion of the city and to de-congest the city through better connectivity.
However, the following is only a tentative list of proposed townships (20) and it is also not known yet as to which would be developed by HUDA and which would be given to the bidder selected through international competitive bidding for commercial development to recover the investment on the ORR project:
Aliyapur, Sultanpur, Kardanur, Pati Ghanpur, Edula Nagulapally, Kollur, Balapur, Nadergul, Torrur, Munuganoor, Kuntloor, Korremalla, Rampalli, Cherial, Dharmaram, Shamirpet, Medchal,
Gowdavelli, Dommara Pochampalli and Bowrampet. Two more yet to be identified.
